Kadina Town Hall Heritage Restoration
Project Value: $1m
Council: Copper Coast Council
Liedig Building Group was engaged by the Copper Coast Council through a Design and Construct contract to undertake structural repairs to the Kadina Town Hall in 2018. Significant structural repairs were required to all timber and roof framing throughout the building.
Once truss elements had been installed, the original ornate ceiling was then demolished and then replaced like for like. This process involved making bespoke resin moulds of the existing plaster cornice and rails to recreate the original ceiling look. Functioning timber windows were installed throughout to assist with building airflow and to bring the building back to its original state.
Original jarrah timber floors were restored to the full extent of the hall.
This project was completed on time and to budget with no defects at Handover
