Liedig Building Group has completed a number of recent projects. These include the construction of commercial warehouses, residential developments, construction management and tailored advisory service projects. Collins Reserve Extension

 

 

 

New building extension to existing clubrooms including provision of extended changeroom facilities to accomodate female players and officials, including:

  • minor demolition works
  • construction of timber framed structure on a reinforced concrete slab
  • fit-out of a new home and away female player changerooms, shower facilities, official's changeroom, male and female massage rooms and an office
  • upgrade of the existing accessible bathroom within the existing clubrooms

Henley Town Hall Restoration

 

 

 

Project Value: $133k

Council: City of Charles Sturt

 

LBG was engaged to undertake the heritage restoration of the Henley Beach Town Hall. Works included masonry repointing with a lime putty mortar and heritage window replacement and painting.

Woodville Town Hall Upgrade

 

 

 

Liedig Building Group were engaged by the City of Charles Sturt to restore the Woodville Town Hall in 2014. This project of historical significance to the local community involved the replacement of top chord trusses, replacement of heritage ceilings and supporting structural framing, timber flooring and other associated works. The works were completed ahead of time with Practical Completion being achieved in Feburary 2015.

 

Major Project Challenges:

  • Working around a failed truss elements in a safe manner
  • Modifying roof trusses while extensive airconditioning plant was in place
  • Undertaking the majority of structural roof repairs in winter
  • Replacement of heritage ceilings to match existing
  • Protection of the hall from damage throughout the construction process

Kadina Town Hall Heritage Restoration

 

 

 

Project Value: $1m

Council: Copper Coast Council

Liedig Building Group was engaged by the Copper Coast Council through a Design and Construct contract to undertake structural repairs to the Kadina Town Hall in 2018. Significant structural repairs were required to all timber and roof framing throughout the building.

Once truss elements had been installed, the original ornate ceiling was then demolished and then replaced like for like. This process involved making bespoke resin moulds of the existing plaster cornice and rails to recreate the original ceiling look. Functioning timber windows were installed throughout to assist with building airflow and to bring the building back to its original state.

Original jarrah timber floors were restored to the full extent of the hall.

This project was completed on time and to budget with no defects at Handover

Fos Williams Heritage Grandstand Restoration

 

 

 

Council: City of Port Adelaide Enfield

Liedig Building Group were engaged by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield to undertake the heritage restoration of the Fos Williams Grandstand at the Port Adelaide Football Club. This project will involve modifications to the roof structure, new painting, removal of asbestos ceilings, facade restoration, grandstand waterproofing and associated works.

Seaforth Avenue Residences

 

 

Project Value: $1.5 million

Council: Marion

This development consists of 4 two-storey townhouses with external walling comprising of rendered hebel cladding.

This project was undertaken through a cost plus contract with a local builder.

Woodville Town Hall Truss Failure Safety

 

 

On the 19th February 2014 Liedig Building Group was engaged to undertake rapid response safety works on a section of the Woodville Town Hall were structural elements had failed. This work included road closures and traffic management, emergency crane positioning and rigging, careful roof sheeting removal and scaffold propping. This work was undertaken in accordance with best practice Work Health Safety practices and liason with numerous stakeholders including, City of Charles Sturt, Safe Work SA, Engineers and other organisations.
